WHEREAS,to the best of our knowledge, there does not exist an association of Korean War veterans who served in the 40th Infantry Division during the Korean War.

WHEREAS, to the best of our knowledge, there is no active effort being made by any organized group to unite the above mentioned veterans into one group or association.

WHEREAS, it is our desire to establish and maintain contact with the above mentioned Korean War veterans so that reunions of comrades - in - arms, may from time to time, be held.

THEREFORE, we, the undersigned, all having served with the 40th Infantry Division, during the Korean War, intend to form a group for reuniting the above named veterans. The group shall be named, " The Association of 40th Infantry Division Korean War Veterans ".

FURTHERMORE, it is also the intention of the undersigned that " The Association of 40th Infantry Division Korean War Veterans " shall attempt to reestablish and thenceforth maintain contact with those Republic of Korea soldiers who served with the 40th Infantry Division during the Korean War.

FINALLY, we the undersigned, further intend that " The Association of 40th Infantry Division Korean War Veterans " attempt to gather, from it's members, information of historical significance relating to the activities of the 40th Infantry Division during the Korean War.
