Small Business Seminar

Seminars are offered throughout the year to help business owners learn more about programs available through local banks and the SBA. Also, for new start-up businesses, we offer training in conjunction with the Lorain County Chamber of Commerce. Lorain National Bank helps sponsor these events.

Campaign for South Lorain

Working to revitalize the South Lorain Community. Action steps in 1998 included completion of a Neighborhood Needs Assessment Survey; Market Analysis, and a Design Charette. We now have developed a planning committee that is made up of stakeholders that live and work in South Lorain, government officials, union representatives, business owners and banks. This committee has developed two foci for the year 1999 – Oakwood Shopping Plaza and Pearl Avenue Business district.
