Peter and Susan Wagner set sail on a 41-foot elegant classic sailing ketch named La Boatique. They begin their journey along the southern shoreline of Lake Erie at Port Clinton, Ohio and end it in Opua, New Zealand.
They discover adventures both at sea and ashore. A rogue wave nearly buries La Boatique during the trip from Bermuda to the Eastern Caribbean. While touring the Caribbean island of Montserrat, an active volcano erupts. They trek through jungles to find sparkling waterfalls. They watch huge leatherback turtles lay eggs on a beach, blue-footed boobies dive for fish, and a huge humpback whale swim alongside their boat with her calf at her side. They survive hospital stays including surgeries in the tropics. They define the tasks required for cruising, boat maintenance jobs, and how to handle funds needed for cruising in the age of the Internet and ATMs. They demonstrate inexpensive ways to communicate with friends and family through the use of a web site and single side band e-mail.

Our sailing adventures on La Boatique are complete, but our adventures can continue to inform and entertain. I have decided to publish the book, The Sailing Adventures of La Boatique. The book contains information from the web page and much more. It includes a map for each year we cruised detailing our travels. There are personal accounts described in the book that until now have only been told to our closest friends. The book is loaded with superb photos; many of them are only available in the book.
