Q. I'd like to use my credit card, but what is PayPal?

A. PayPal enables any business or consumer with an email address to securely, conveniently, and cost-effectively send and receive payments online. PayPal has over 17 million registered users just like you who enjoy shopping and saving money online. PayPal was a Webby Award nominee in both 2000 and 2001, and was named a Forbes Favorite Website in the magazine's May 2001 "Best of the Web" issue.

Q. What will that cost me?

A. Nothing. It's free to open a PayPal account, and there's no charge for sending payments. Every account is automatically insured up to $100,000 against unauthorized withdrawals, at no cost to you.  La Boatique Press never sees your personal or credit card information.

Q.Is it safe to enter my credit card information into PayPal?

A. The security of your information, transactions, and money is the core of PayPal's business and the top priority at PayPal. PayPal automatically encrypts your confidential information in transit from your computer to theirs using the Secure Sockets Layer protocol (SSL) with an encryption key length of 128-bits (the highest level commercially available). Before you even register or login to their site, their server checks that you're using an approved browser - one that uses SSL 3.0 or higher.

Once your information reaches PayPal, it resides on a server that is heavily guarded both physically and electronically. PayPal's servers sit behind an electronic firewall and are not directly connected to the Internet, so your private information is available only to authorized PayPal computers.
