This great egret decided to join our crew for a few minutes during our trip back to St. Augustine from Fort Myers.
I returned to Ohio for a few weeks. What I found was a frozen Lake Erie. Storms had piled pancake ice into huge piles out on the lake. The foreground of the pictures look like the shoreline, but sand and pebbles had been blow or carried out onto the lake. Both pictures were taken about ¼ of a mile from the shoreline.
