These rare blue footed boobies were on the rocks outside the Port Captian's office in San Cristobal, Galapagos. I took this picture while waiting for Pete to complete the check in procedures. I could get right next to the boobies without them flying away.

During our tour Barry snapped this great shot of a Marine Iguana on a rock.

This tree certainly seemed out of place in the dry Galapagos where nearly all the trees are stunted from the little rain that falls here. I believe that this tree found some source of water deep underground. (Owl picture by Pete.)
(Tortoise pictures by Sue.)
I had not ridden a horse in over 20 years, but I had a great time. The horse I had was perfect for me. We rode a horseback trail to the smoldering volcano. Pete took this picture of me.
Pete and Sue, Isabela Island, Galapagos
Barry looks into the hot fumarole while Pete figures the heat coming out the hole is hot enough to cook eggs.
We found pink flamingoes in a salt marsh on Islabela Island.
Julie took this picture of us standing by a cactus that looks like a tree during our long walk on March 22.
The two frigate birds are fighting for a postion at the top of La Boatique's mast while we fought to get rid of them. The big birds had already broken the windex at the top of the mast once. Isabela Island, Galapagos
